Nosy Be is extremely rich in macro, thanks to a strong endemism, a current from Indonesia arriving on the northwest of Madagascar bringing eggs and larvae from the Pacific Ocean, and above all a calm, unpolluted, little frequented environment, where animals can develop quietly.
Diving in the bay is simple and easy to access. No waves, no current. This fringing and calm reef environment is perfect for observing the multitude of small and delicate living organisms in the area: nudibranchs, seahorses, frogfish, leaves, ghosts pipes, pegasus, rhinopias... perfect conditions for filming, photographing or just observing.

After the island of Sakatia, environment is changing. Reefs in perfect condition stretch for a few meters to 1km, swept by variable tidal currents. Large passage area (whale shark, manta rays or tuna, depending on the season) but also a high density of small organisms, preferring this kind of environment: barrier reef. Nudibranchs, crustaceans, frog fish, leaf scorpion fish, ghosts etc.

Do you have a specific passion for an animal or a family? You're travelling around the world to see all the clownfishes, or all the hawksfishes ... We will take you to see those who are present in the area. With the rate of endemism in this part of the Indian Ocean, there's no surprise that many animals are only visible in the area. Especially in the macro, animals that have relatively limited movement capacity. (mainly molluscs, corals)
